Cycle Menu Management

Menu and Resident Solutions to Improve Your Healthcare Foodservice Operation

Cycle Menu Management is an easy and economical tool to help control food and labour costs, get nutrition analysis, standardize quality and streamline production in your foodservice operation. Designed specifically to help those using cycle menus and standardized recipes, this tool is your key to increase foodservice satisfaction and improve cost control.

Cycle Menu Management will provide you with real-time pricing, nutrition information and healthcare menu templates to get you started. There are several different options within Cycle Menu Management from basic Menu Planning to more robust Resident Management Solutions. Need help deciding? Contact the Nutrition Resource Centre (NRC) at nutritionrc@gfs.com or 1-866-814-1272.

Our Nutrition Resource Centre develops and releases Long-term Care menus twice a year in Cycle Menu Management. The menus are written to help you meet Provincial regulations and Federal guidelines such as Canada’s Food Guide. They are also based on regional preferences. You can use these templates as written or modify them to meet your needs.

Resident Management Solutions

As communities become more focused on resident-centred care, it is essential to have a solution to organize resident information. The Resident Management modules provide not only a way to organize resident detail but also reports that help with communication to food and nutrition services staff.

Tray Card

A simple way to manage resident dining with printed reports and cards that include:

  • Diet order
  • Allergies
  • Dislikes
  • Dining location
  • Snack labels
  • Supplements and adaptive equipment

Tray Ticket (works in combination with Menu Planning)

A more comprehensive solution that provides all that the Tray Card module has to offer but also gives you the ability to generate menus that are corrected for resident-specific information such as:

  • Diet
  • Allergies
  • Dislikes
  • Dining location

Tableside

Tableside is an add-on module to the Tray Ticket module and presents a unique way to revolutionize the dining experience in your community. The module works with a tablet to display pictures of meals at point of service. It also incorporates resident dietary information in the meals offered and allows resident pictures for staff to refer to.
